Fire spread from canopy to canopy
In the orange rage of the sky
Ashened silhouettes sway wildly
And splinter into smoking funeral
Species flee exhausted and die
Birds circle the scene confused
Like lost words swarm a crucial talk
And clog digital abyss
They will have to find new home
This earth singes everything it
touches
Words settle in cradle of
understanding
In this engulfing rage it will escape
And wait for the grass to sprout
Trees to grow
Words to sentence
To place every life
In its unique place
